Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains which personal data may be processed when you visit OWA Labs, for which purposes, and which rights data subjects have.
1. Controller
OWA Labs is operated as a private, non-commercial hobby project. Privacy-related enquiries can be submitted through the contact form.

The website is hosted via Vercel. When the website is accessed, technically necessary connection and server data may be processed, including IP address, access time, requested resource and browser or device information. The processing is carried out to provide the website securely, reliably and stably. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on the legitimate interest in the secure and trouble-free operation of the website.
3. Contact form via Web3Forms
When the contact form is submitted, the entered data is transmitted to Web3Forms. This includes in particular name, email address, subject, message and technically necessary transmission data. The information is used solely to handle the respective enquiry. Depending on the content of the enquiry, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual communication or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries. The confirmation requested before submission also serves to provide transparent information about the processing.
4. Spam protection with hCaptcha
hCaptcha is used to protect the contact form from automated submissions and abuse. The service is provided by Intuition Machines, Inc. (USA). hCaptcha checks whether a form action meets security requirements and may process technically necessary information about the device, network and interaction for this purpose. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on the legitimate interest in protecting the website and contact form from spam and automated abuse. Processing of personal data outside the EU or EEA cannot be ruled out when the service is used.

The website contains links to external platforms such as GitHub and LinkedIn. Only after clicking such a link do you leave OWA Labs, and the privacy terms of the respective provider apply. OWA Labs currently does not embed tracking scripts from these platforms.
6. Cookies and tracking
Based on the current implementation, OWA Labs does not use its own analytics, marketing or tracking cookies. Services such as Google Analytics or comparable tracking tools are not integrated. Technically necessary functions of the hosting, form or security provider may remain unaffected.
7. Storage period
Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or for as long as statutory retention obligations apply. Contact enquiries are deleted after processing has been completed unless legal reasons require longer retention. OWA Labs has only limited influence over the retention periods of technically necessary server and connection data processed by external service providers.
8. International data transfers
When using Vercel, Web3Forms, hCaptcha or external platforms, processing of personal data outside the European Union or European Economic Area cannot be ruled out. Where required, such transfers are based on the applicable data protection safeguards of the respective provider.
9. Your rights
Subject to the applicable legal requirements, data subjects may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Any consent given may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
10. Right to lodge a complaint
Data subjects also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if they believe that the processing of their personal data violates applicable data protection law.
